Callaway golf irons If you are teeing off on a par 3 or working your way up the fairway, you are going to need Callaway golf irons. The terrific news is that Callway will keep your slices and shanks to a bare minimum. The bad news is that you will not be able to blame your issues on your clubs.
When you are looking for irons, you should look for clubs that meet your needs. As with any sports equipment, there are different types for price and skill level. There are some things to consider. Will the clubs compensate for any lift problems that you have? What is the forgiveness of the club? No not the forgiveness you need from your wife for missing a day with her while at the course. I am referring to the clubs stability.
You should also look at the clubs Moment of Inertia (MOI). The higher the MOI of the club, the better the stability. The clubs forgiveness is based on this MOI. You also want to have clubs that have as much hitting area as possible with the least amount of weight. The Callaway golf irons are offered in different sets to cover these criteria depending on what you want to accomplish on the course.
Callaway golf irons at this time come in four diverse lines: Big Bertha, the X Series, and the FT series. The company uses a hybrid system for both their Big Bertha and FT series. This hybrid system gives ultra lift to your strokes if you are having trouble getting some air under your ball. The low center of gravity design will help compensate.
The Big Bertha Callaway golf irons follow in the tradition of the Big Bertha clubs. They offer the golfer an improvement over other irons. The hybrid equipment is recognized as i-brid which Callaway claims will give you both accuracy and forgiveness.
The X series are designed to increase your trajectory. They take full advantage of perimeter weight, reduce vibration, and have a high MOI. There are actually three various levels X Series clubs. The X Series has a tour version with a thin head. Still not sufficient for you? Try the X-Forged. These clubs are carbon steel, with thin toplines, and progressive weighting from longer to shorter irons.
The FT, or Fusion Technology are the top of the range golf clubs. The fusion is a mix of resources including titanium in the shaft which allows for extra weight in the head. These irons have oversized hitting areas and an increased offset. These irons are designed to be the finest in forgiveness
Callaway golf irons have become a standard over the past couple of decades. They have delivered for duffers all over the world. From the occasional golfer to the pro, Callaway will fulfill your needs.

The term ‘the long game’ is used to refer to the drives (shots off the tee) and fairway shots, which means every shot with the exception of the ones you make to actually get onto the green.
Since each golf hole has a different difficulty level, different par and distinctive hazards, telling you to use your driver on every tee would blatantly be quite wrong.
But don’t worry about it. This is something that you will have to learn with experience as you learn the various types shot you need to make, which will vary according to the club, the placement of the ball and your own personal style of swing.
As a rule of thumb, the lower the number of the club, the longer and lower your ball will travel through the air. For example, a 4-iron will make the ball travel on a long and low trajectory and will most likely roll when it hits the ground, whereas a 9-iron will give the ball much more loft and it will go less distance both in the air and over the ground.
The professionals on television make it look so easy, don’t they? They consistently hit the ball long and straight and never miss-hit the ball making it dribble ten feet or completely miss the ball altogether, but you do not have to do that either, if you practice, practice, practice.
One of the most important parts of the game is the drive. If you spend a few hours at the driving range you will see quite a big improvement in your long-distance shots. Use the same club in this experiment to see what affect it has, if you move the ball backward or forward or in your stance. And, if you can, take a lesson or two from a pro, to learn the proper swing from the start.
Mastering the long game will help you get to the green in fewer strokes, keeping your score and frustration levels down. Remember that it takes a long time to learn consistency and also remember that you’re supposed to be having fun!

1. Get more distance by passing the pole.
You must make use of a proper weight shift if you desire maximum consistency and distance. There is a pole planted into the ground and the ball is resting on it at its address. Now you have to place your left shoulder just behind the ball without even a slight sway of the hips.
When you are in a position like this, it is considered as ideal for initiating the downswing. When you do the follow through, the right shoulder of yours has to shift past the imaginary pole and the golf ball. If you are able to do all these properly, you can perform weight shifts and good turns equally well.
2. You must remember the practice area
Do you know the importance of the practice area? Any expert golfer who wishes to win the tournament will check out the practice area before moving on to the first tee. Surely, I don’t need to repeat that you too should do the same if you have an iota of seriousness in you. Now don’t start worrying how you strike the ball in the practice area.
Rather use the practice area to loosen your muscles and for warming up your body. Then when you become ready to hit, you have to start off with a wedge. Then slowly you have to work your way down till you reach the driver. Again, when you finish off, you have to use a few wedges again.
You may feel all these are unnecessary but do you know, these promote a good feel and tempo, they can prevent you from getting injured and you can strike the ball with perfection as well.
When you start to widen your stance further and further as many other amateur golfers do, it increases stability on the one hand and on the other hand generates a lateral movement which can result in an involuntary swing. You can acquire an improved swing stance by doing the barrel drill.
You should start off with an approximate stance that must be shoulder width apart. Then you have to swing the club in such a manner that if there were two poles planted on each side of you just beside your shoes, you would never touch the poles. For this you need to do a full turn. Then you have to envisage yourself swinging in a barrel and this will ensure low scores.

What Should You Keep in Your Golf Bag?
There are many golf bags available; some are designed for fashion, some for utility and some that combine both features. There are big bags, bigger bags and bags so big that they would keep everything I need for a long week-end vacation in one of the side pockets!
Generally speaking, you need a bag which is just large enough to hold your clubs, extra balls, your glove, tees, car keys, extra pencils, ball markers, a ball retriever, sunscreen, a windbreaker and a large umbrella.
It is also recommended that you carry in your bag: some tissue paper, sticking plasters and, whether necessary or not, some insect repellant.
A small pack of wipes can be just what you need too if it gets hot or you get covered with sand in one of the bunkers or you have to fish your ball out of a stream.
I happen to be allergic to the stings of bees, hornets and wasps, so my Epipen is an important addition to my bag. I am also hypoglycemic so I carry Lifesavers, the packs of which have to be replaced several times throughout the year because they have a tendency to melt.
You should also switch off your mobile phone before stowing it away in one of your golf bag’s side pockets to prevent it from upsetting other players. You have to be considerate to you fellow players and mobile phones on a golf course are considered a nuisance as they are in restaurants.
Having these items in your golf bag should provide everything you will need, even in a minor emergency (like a blister) or a major inconvenience, like a sudden rainstorm. Being prepared makes the game a great deal more fun.

Golf Tips – Hit the Ball Forwards
September 14, 2009 by Mike Jackson

There’s nothing more frustrating for golf enthusiasts than playing what they think is the same as they’ve played before, only for the ball to end up nowhere near their intended target. Certainly, I know that’s the case for me, anyway.
That’s where you – like me – will benefit from some advice from a professional golfer. I’ve had many lessons over the past few years, and I’m passing on some of the wisdom that I’ve learned in a series of articles. Starting with the most important lesson – keep the ball moving the right way.
My golf coach impressed on me from the start of my lessons that almost nobody ever achieves the perfect swing, perfect grip, perfect stance etc. He assured me that most amateur golfers will waste 90% of their time trying to perfect what they see as a problem. And indeed most golfers have plenty of issues to be concerned about, such as keeping their arm straight or their head still.
The most important thing, then, is to make sure you hit the ball in the right direction, so that it moves forwards towards the hole. My coach showed me what he meant by playing a shot that started off very unexpectedly.
Taking an outrageously off-centre backswing, and letting go of the club with one hand, he proceeded to bring the club down in such a manner as to send the ball flying straight from the tee. There wasn’t a huge amount of power in the shot, but it was certainly in the right direction.
I realised from this that the key element of the whole shot was the club face hitting the ball. So long as you have this under control, you can send the ball towards the hole. Which is where I started to focus my efforts in practice.
It would be silly for me to suggest that having control over the other things is irrelevant, and obviously things such as your choice of club and the power you put into the shot will affect the distance the ball travels.
The main lesson I learnt from this, though, was that if you can get the ball heading in the direction you want it to, you’re halfway to becoming a good golfer. After all, the aim of the game is to get the ball from the tee into the hole. This is where I concentrated my efforts for quite some time, which has made me a better golfer, and hopefully will help you, too.

There are so many companies making golf clubs currently. Every company have so many models which makes for many combination. If you are a golfer, are you able to pick out the right golf clubs for yourself?
Every company has their own technology which is different than others. Read more to find out about the popular club manufacturers.
Cobra Golf has Camilo Villegas as their sponsor who is playing so well. The most expensive driver they carry is the Cobra L5V which promises maximum face area for its look.
Adams Golf is known for its hybrids but they also started to enter the arena of drivers in recent years. Their latest technology, the Adams Insight Tech A4 driver, has a street price of $370 and comes in loft 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5. It has a pretty traditional looking club head, and the curved shape is supposed to save weight.
Callaway Golf is very good at making clubs that are very forgiving. The FT-9 driver from Callaway is its latest and it’s a very good looking club head. It also sports a ton of different lofts and options (9,10,11 degrees neutral, 9,10,11,13 in draw, 8.5,9.5,10.5 in tou and 8.5,9.5,10.5 in tour draw).
Nike Golf catapulted into the golf scene with the endorsement of Tiger Woods. I’m sure they are hard at work and Tiger must love being able to test all the different options and help them in designing the golf clubs to golf balls.
Lynx is mainly a second rated customs component manufacturer and their fairway wood heads aren’t considered that great. However, the price point is good and if you think that shafts are all that matter, this may be a good choice as well.
Adams Golf fairway woods? Read what I have to say about Cobra’s lineup. No idea what they make.
Equipment may not eliminate errors but it can certainly help your game become better. Tour pros know this and use only the best equipment that fits their golf game. Check out the bag of Padraig Harrington now for the latest equipment news.

As the golf game evolves, so do golf club manufacturers. These days, there are so many different companies making clubs and they all make many different models. How are people supposed to find the right ones?
So many different companies with so much technology. Continue reading for more popular club manufacturers.
Cobra Golf’s latest high end driver is the L5V with a street price of $400. It uses a carbon composite and have adjustments to change the angle of the face by 1 degree if desired.
Adams Golf sponsors Tom Watson and is known with its amazing hybrid technology. The Adams Speedline though is its great new driver that has captured the hearts of many, including the Hot List 2009 as it won gold. The rounded sole takes getting used to because it might rock back and forth at address off the tee but once you get used to it, expect to hit it looooong.
Callaway Golf is really pushing the envelope with its high end drivers (all its 2009 models are over $350 a piece). They made two drivers. One with a more traditional shape (FT-9) and one a square shape (FT-IQ). Both are amazingly long and Phil is already using the FT-9. He’s not trying crazy things like two drivers though anymore but who knows as he might use the drivers to chip.

Callaway Golf almost stands for forgiveness. They also pioneered the uniflex shaft used in its irons. The Callaway FT-IQ is its latest square shaped driver. If you can get pass the sound that it makes (and the shape), you will bomb it. The driver is amazingly straight even though your golf buddies might make fun of you for cheating.
Nike Golf has steadily made it into one of the most popular golf manufacturers by signing up Tiger Woods, Anthony Kim and others. In fact, Nike sponsored many of the top golfers in the world and has many amazing drivers.
Lynx is a smaller component player and this choice will make perfect sense if price is a concern. However, coupled with a great shaft, it will still perform.

This girl can play ball. I wouldn’t want to bet with her on the golf course and you shouldn’t either. Lorena Ochoa with her golf bag will kill any golfer in no time.
