Electronic Arts Inc. said Monday it will stand behind Tiger Woods – at least for the release of a new online golf game featuring the embattled athlete.

 

The relationship between EA and Woods stretches back more than a decade, and Tiger Woods-branded games have pulled in hundreds of millions of dollars for the company over the years.

 

Woods’ image has been tarnished following a car accident over the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday at the golfer’s Florida home, which led to an admission of extramarital “transgressions.” He is taking a break from golf and has been dropped by major corporate sponsors AT&T Corp. and Accenture.

 

Gillette, a unit of the Procter&Gamble Co., and Swiss watch maker Tag Heuer, a unit of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, have also said they will cut back their use of Woods in their advertising campaigns.

 

On Monday, EA Sports President Peter Moore said the company decided to stick with Woods because he is “still one of the greatest athletes in history” despite his “mistakes” off the golf course.

You would have to have been living under a rock for the past week to not know about this whole “Tiger Woods Scandal”. It all started when Tiger mysteriously crashed his car at 2 in the morning outside his $2.5 million Orlando mansion. Sources said that he had been fighting with his wife over Tiger Woods Mistress Rachel Uchitel when she chased him out of the house with a Golf Fundraising club, scratched up his face, smashed in his windshield, and caused him to crash and burn. Now, another woman is coming forward saying she did have a relationship with Tiger: Jamie Lee Grubbs, and she has voicemail audio to prove it.

She got paid $150,000 by US Weekly for the information, which is probably nothing compared to what Tiger would have paid her to keep her mouth shut. Here’s the alleged Tiger Woods voicemail transcript:

Hey it’s Tiger, I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye.

As you can see, Tiger is begging Jamie Lee to take her name off her own outgoing voicemail because his wife Elin Woods (or Elin Nordegrin) has been going through his phone, and I assume that means she found dirty text messages from that phone number. I assume she must have complied with this request because the only way this information got out was after the whole Rachel Uchitel thing, Tiger was thrust into the limelight.

I think it’s pretty sad that this woman would do something like this to Tiger, but I suppose for $150,000 it would be mighty tempting. We want to hear from you! While Tiger woods’s sex scandal is hot on media?it is also hot on forum?angry fans to express their disgust at the golf superstar’s fall from grace, with many of the posts highly abusive.Finally it is shut down. 

“You are such a piece of garbage … good job wrecking your family, butthead,” said one of hundreds of postings.

 

Another said: “You are a laughing stock – just another arrogant athlete who thought he could get away with anything … your image was nothing but a fraud.”

However, almost a month after the car accident outside his Florida home that led to the unraveling of his image, website administrators have closed the forums.

Woods admitted infidelity during his marriage to former Swedish model and nanny Elin Nordegren and up to 14 women have been linked with the world’s best golfer.

Woods, who turns 34 on December 30, is said to be sailing on a boat in the Bahamas to escape the scrutiny and media coverage while Nordegren, 29, is believed have spent Christmas in Sweden with her family.

The scandal has proved to be fodder for Facebook users with groups and fan pages attracting large numbers.

Among the most popular has almost 400,000 fans, while another “I did not sleep with Tiger Woods” has 40,000 fans.

Less popular are the groups “Free Tiger Woods” with 1000 fans and “Get off Tiger Woods already!” with 400 followers.

During the height of the scandal marketing experts had expressed bewilderment at the lack of action from his agents, International Management Group, to protect their client’s image.

Tiger Woods’ texting to his lovers are quite humiliating (and sad?)

When Tiger Woods crashed his car a few weeks ago, who would know that incriminating text messages would jeopardize his personal life even more?

Tiger Woods’ texting has pretty much humiliated him further. It looks that his nightmares are not yet over.

The number one golfer has had his text messages leaked. Rachel Uchitel and Jaimee Grubbs are both mentioned.

When we thought that the famous golfer on the planet was a reserved family man, and great athlete, the text messages showed another side of him.

It showed that Tiger was a bit jealous of Uchitel’s former famous lovers. He seemed to want to be Rachel’s first. Apparently, being the beautiful brunette’s fifth guy is not exactly the best number to be when you are the de facto number one golfer on this planet.

He was apparently pissed at being “number f___g five”.

Grubbs asked in her text messages what kind of of birthday gift she somebody, he responded with “your naked body”.

The leaked messages, dating from last summer, mentioned that he and Jaimee wouldn’t be able to get together because of family matters.

Another one showed an anxious Tiger inquiring if his mistress Jaimee has a new boyfriend. She said no, that she hasn’t gone on serious dates for two months. Tiger replied that they’ll be secret lovers. Oh Eldrick, you dog!

With Rachel Uchitel’s text messages, Tiger showed a pretty serious sad side of him, mentioning that he and Uchitel should’ve met before, saying that her presence made him a much better man. He was kind of ashamed to not be tougher than usual.

So what is the root of all these not-so-secret-anymore trysts? Too much celebrity, too much money? Was his beautiful wife Elin neglecting Tiger Woods?

Who knows.

One thing for sure: holidays will be a tough time at the Woods family.

Yes, the news have been staggering concerning our fallen hero.  Woods Tiger News is blarring at us in our living rooms, cars, work places and it doesn’t look like it will stop any time soon.

Yes. Tiger Woods has confessed to his wife Elin Nordegren of his infidelity with socialite Rachel Uchitel.  Allegations of Woods’ infidelity broke in the National Enquirer on November 25.  Lets be clear about this, one thing is for sure, Tiger Woods comitted a gross sin.  There is no doubt about it and there is forgiveness for his sin.

Now According to reports, we are now up to seven alleged mistresses.  What is going on here?  Could this true or just women looking to gain a moment of fame for profit?  If this is true, Woods Tiger News is going to get bigger and bigger.  The man is going to create a monster that will ride his back for weeks and months to come.

But the world will forgive him as other celebs have been forgiven.  Remember Kobe Bryant’s transgression?  How soon we forget.  Yes, Tiger’s endorsements will fall to nearly zero.  But a few years of faithfulness to his wife and companies again will come knocking at his door, including Gatorade.
